Door Installer – Do You Want to Work in Norway?

We are looking for skilled and solution-oriented door installers with experience from the door industry. This is a position for you who enjoy practical and technical work, take responsibility for your own assignments and thrive in a varied working day out with customers and on construction sites. As a door installer, you will work on installing a wide range of door and entrance solutions. The work includes industrial doors, sectional overhead doors, high-speed doors, folding doors and roller doors. You may also work with fire doors, fire curtains, doors and other special solutions depending on the project and the customer's needs. An important part of the work is installing and adjusting motors, rails, fittings, control systems and safety equipment. You may also work with loading docks, weather seals, loading houses, gates and fencing systems. Before and during installation, you take the necessary measurements and check the conditions on site to make sure the solution can be installed correctly. When needed, you also make mechanical adjustments on site. The position involves more than the installation itself. You must be able to adjust and function-test finished solutions, troubleshoot and carry out the necessary measures. The work must be documented, and any deviations recorded and followed up in a structured way. In your daily work, you cooperate with project managers, site management, electricians and other trades. You will also have direct contact with customers and go through the finished installation with them. It is therefore important that you communicate well, behave professionally and care about delivering high-quality work. We are looking for someone who is comfortable taking responsibility for their own installation assignments while cooperating well with others. The position involves travel, and some assignments may include overnight stays. Qualifications To succeed in the role, you should have documented experience as an installer in the door industry and experience with industrial doors, sectional overhead doors or similar door systems. You should be able to carry out common installation assignments independently and have a good mechanical and technical understanding. It is also important that you can read and understand technical drawings, dimension sketches and installation instructions. We expect you to have knowledge of motors, control systems and safety equipment used with door installations. You also need a good understanding of the working environment and safety on construction sites. You must be able to communicate in Norwegian, Swedish or another Scandinavian language and have a category B driving licence. A relevant trade certificate or equivalent training is an advantage, but practical experience and skills from the door industry are what matter most to us as we look for a new colleague. Training and certificates for, for example, lifts, fall protection, hot work and forklifts are an advantage. A category BE driving licence is also an advantage. Who are you? We are looking for a door installer who is independent, thorough and solution-oriented. You take responsibility for your work, handle the challenges that may come up along the way and make sure the assignment is carried out safely and professionally - from measuring and installation to testing and final handover to the customer. Do you have experience from the door industry and want a varied working day with technical challenges and a lot of personal responsibility? Then we would love to hear from you! • Installation of industrial doors and other door systems • Electric motors and drive systems • Troubleshooting of safety equipment • Working environment and safety in the construction industry • Installation and removal of electric motors • Reading and understanding technical drawings • Installation of doors • Taking measurements and making mechanical adjustments Workplace: Oslo/Romerike, Norway 1 year with the possibility of extension
